Our fascination with celebrity relationships or political leaders of our day, while seemingly harmless, can veer into the realm of escapism or border on idol worship, distracting us from the pressing issues that demand our attention or worse eclipsing our devotion to God, who is jealous for our hearts.

The surviving and thriving of Israel echo through the ages, reminding us of God's unwavering promise to His people and of Israel's significance in God's plan—a nation that stands as a testament to the world of God’s love and faithfulness. Here are 5 verses that highlight God's promises to Israel, reflecting His commitment and the special relationship with the nation:

1. Genesis 12:2-3 "I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
